Details: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the distribution activities in Shipping, Picking, Receiving, or Quality Control; including but not limited to receipt and shipment of products and/or orders, overseeing product availability, processing of orders, inventory accuracy, monitoring system and pick issues. Will oversee assigned department for continual process flow, organization, cleanliness, and policy compliance. May be required to assist other departments in the Operation. Will supervise staff assigned to a particular department including but not limited to training, monitoring performance and progress, coordinating daily work activities for direct staff, compliance, and handling employee relations. Will motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce.  The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, and leadership. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to uphold and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards. Will supervise the distribution activities in Shipping, Picking, Receiving, and/or Quality Control; including but not limited to receipt and shipment of products and/or orders, overseeing product availability, processing of orders, inventory accuracy, monitoring system and pick issues. Oversee assigned department  for continual process flow, organization, and cleanliness. Will assist in identifying operational problems and implementing solutions. May be required to assist other departments in the Operation. Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. Will supervise staff assigned to a particular department including but not limited to training, monitoring performance and progress, coordinating the daily work activities for direct staff, and realigning staffing needs when necessary. Will motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure all productivity, safety, and quality goals are met. Will supervise the daily work activities for the Warehouse Associates, Quality Control Auditors, Operations Clerk, and Yard Hostler assigned to work in the Shipping Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to entering shipping information into WMS, assigning loads to trailers, coordinating and assigning loads and trailers to designated doors, signing and verifying product is loaded, printing and updating the outbound schedule. Will maintain the Seal Log book for outbound loads. Will call Roadway, FedEx, and Holland to schedule pickup of loaded trailers. All shipping functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures. Will supervise the daily work activities for the Warehouse Associates, Quality Control Auditors, Operations Clerk, and Inventory Control Clerks assigned to work in the Receiving Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to monitoring the inbound schedule, researching and ensuring correct PO information is used, coordinating the unloading and storing of incoming products. Will review all inbound paperwork for accuracy. Report and record all Inbound Vendor compliance issues. Assists with inventory control. All receiving functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures. Will supervise the daily work activities for the Warehouse Associates, Quality Control Auditors, and Operations Clerk assigned to work in the Picking Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to reviewing daily orders and assigning to staging lanes, allocating pick tickets, monitoring quality control processes and procedures, maintaining the Shift Pick Log, and monitoring inventory for replenishment requirements. All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures. Will supervise the daily work activities for the Quality Control Auditors assigned to work in the Quality Control Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to monitoring quality control processes and procedures, QC audits, inventory moves, and the Quality Error Reporting process. All quality control functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures. Will mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demands. Will train associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, which includes but is not limited to: shipping, receiving, picking, and/or quality control; WMS programs and RF guns; and safety compliance. May be required to assist with forklift certifications. Will respond to employee grievances. Will refer questions or issues to appropriate person when needed. Responsible for evaluating employee performance and handling disciplinary action including recommending or initiating counseling notices. Will maintain good communication and positive relations with the employees to promote employee satisfaction. Maintain company-employee communication operations staff on a daily basis in pre-shift and post-break meetings, or other formal or informal group meetings. Will produce regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Will be responsible for conducting and completing Behavioral Audit Forms and Behavioral Task Assessments, and Facility Inspection checklist. May be required to assist with the 5S Audit Compliance program. Assist with various research projects and/or special projects. Responsible for professional verbal and written communication with all internal and external customers. Will adhere to professional etiquette standards when communicating with Management members, coworkers, customer, and other visitors. Expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service. Will uphold and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards. Will enforce all corporate and site specific policies and practices to ensure fair and consistent administration. Maybe required to use material handling equipment to perform job functions, as needed. Equipment used can include but are not limited to: sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, or pallet jack. Responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting any equipment problems. Will adhere to the Basic Safety Forklift Guidelines while operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Will maintain an active forklift certification. Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance. (1) Will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety; (2) Responsible for organization and cleanliness of warehouse; (3) Will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
